Darjeeling
In the state of West Bengal, Darjeeling is often referred to as the queen of hills. It is the summer resort all the Bengalis run to, when the heat in April, May becomes unbearable. There are many secluded Himalayan villages around Darjeeling. Glenary's and Keventers are the hot-favourite eateries in Darjeeling, not just for the food they serve but also for their location. Batasia Loop, Darjeeling Mall, Japanese Peace Pagoda, Ghoom are some of the Darjeeling points of interest for tourists. On a clear day, Kanchenjunga peak is view-able from the Himalayan town. Shopping on the Hill-cart road is an interesting experience which no-one should miss while on a Darjeeling trip.
