Embodying this spirit Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland welcomed the new year with firework and lighting. The iconic buildings of the region came to life with the light show. The inclusion of 40 search lights in the Harbour Bridge lighting was a feast to the eyes. Bystanders enjoyed the show from several view-points, restaurants and bars.
