Thailand Reopening – Amazing Thailand New Chapter

On the first day of OTM Mumbai March 2022, Tourism Authority of Thailand in India conducted a press conference on the reopening of Thailand. Thailand with its hills, forests, mangroves, beaches, wildlife, lagoons and a thriving culinary scene has much to offer to the world. However, the tourism sector of the South-east Asian country took a major blow since the pandemic.

Now, as things stabilize on the COVID-19 front, Cholada Siddhivairn, Director of Tourism Authority of Thailand in Mumbai Office, gave an hour-long presentation at OTM 2022. Honorable Mr. Donnawit Poolsawat, Consul General, Royal Thai Consulate-General, Mumbai, was present during the meeting. Several DMC, travel partners and press delegates attended the meeting.

The reopening of Thailand is branded as ‘Amazing Thailand New Chapter’. According to this, experiential travel in Thailand is slotted under different chapters from A-Z — Awaken your senses, Beyond expectation, Craft your imagination, New Expressions of romance, Overjoyed with excitement, Reconnect with nature, Submerge yourself in local culture, and so on.

Local community based sustainable tourism which is going to be the bedrock of tourism in a world facing the consequences of climate change finds mention. Here you can find the constantly updating rules of entry to Thailand.
