Urby Wallet – The mobile wallet which saved me on my back-to-back trips
I had a super slow start to 2018. January saw just one overnight trip which was almost cancelled. February was wholly pale. March saw a welcome change in the pattern. The Holi weekend was scheduled for Gujarat followed by a trip to Hyderabad. On both these trips, I took my Urby wallet with me. Soon I would be boarding a train to my hometown Kolkata and the month will end with a tiger safari at Tadoba in Maharashtra.
Don’t get me wrong, I would love to travel slowly, but not everyone has the luxury of going nomadic full-time. The time lost in packing and unpacking is one of the major downsides of travelling to too many places in too short a time.
Urby – The recurring introduction
This is not the first time I have used an Urby product. Back in 2017, I did an elaborate post introducing brand Urby to my blog readers. Urby strives to make luxury products at affordable prices by eliminating the middle-men. The idea came into being when the founder of Urby lost his favourite wallet while travelling to India from USA. When trying to replace his lost wallet with a new one, he noticed the inflated price tags of the premium products. He observed the gap in the market and Urby was born.
Urby Wallet for women
I was elated when the good people of Urby sent me a personalised mobile wallet and asked me to post an honest review. I have used the wallet for a month now and took it with me on two trips.
Product Description of Urby Mobile Wallets for Women
Urby wallets for women are designed to hold cards, cash and cellphones. The wallets come in an assortment of nine colours: berry red, navy, belize, castle brown, chestnut brown, dark tan, textured black, textured brown and jet black.
Its right flap consists of 6 card slots and two vertical slots to stash in cash and on-the-go important documents like boarding passes and passport. The vertical slot on its left flap is designated to hold a smartphone. The outer side of the right flap boasts another pocket. It can be used to shove in coins and bills in a jiffy.
A tough zipper holds the flaps together. A detachable wristlet strap makes it super convenient for people who prefer wearing their purse. The purse is carefully handcrafted by talented artisans using premium quality leather. The interior of the purse is built of rich poly jacquard for slim finish.
All Urby products come in a neat but chic drawstring bag and get delivered with FedEx. At some additional cost, customers can embed their name and personalise the product!
My Experience with Urby Mobile Wallet
I love exercising method and order. Anything which is messy makes me cringe. In Gujarat, I trudged a considerable amount of time under the Sun, documenting handicrafts villages, shooting videos of the artisans as they gave live demonstrations and clicking cliché photos in the Great Rann of Kutch. I kept stashing my smartphone in and out of the wallet without worrying and losing my mind.
The extremely useful wristlet let me wear the purse on me all the time. Even when I was almost rolling on the salt flats trying to fix the tripod for the perfect quirky shot, I had it on me.
The fact that my name is etched in gold made me feel special at times.
I own two smartphones, I stashed the smaller one in the dedicated slot and kept the bigger one sandwiched between the two flaps. It was such a relief for me to finally carry two phones in the same wallet.
Products by Urby for men
Urby also caters to men and they have a wide range of products including wallets for men. The wallets come in classical billfold, having ample card slots and dedicated coin compartment. The elegant colours go along in showing the graceful taste of Urby.
Urby lives upto its promise and I will love to use more of their products provided they never compromise in quality and design.
Do you use mobile wallets or Urby wallets? How is your experience with the wallets you use?
