Accor set to champion the hospitality sector with several hotel openings scheduled in 2021

In 2020 when the travel industry was hanging by a thread, Accor managed in keeping steady. The fact shows in the company’s robust plan for 2021. Accor plans to open an array of hotels across the world. V Villas Phuket – MGallery would be inaugurated in Phuket, Thailand’s beach paradise. The hotel would be equipped with 24 stunning pool villa resorts, 5 dining outlets, spa and wellness centre.

Orchard Hills Residences Singapore – MGallery, located near Gardens by the Bay, Marina Bay, Singapore Botanic Gardens and Suntec Convention Centre is Accor’s addition of its Singapore portfolio. The 326 rooms and suites strong The Fairmont Ambassador Seoul and 563 rooms and suites strong Sofitel Ambassador Seoul Hotel & Serviced Residences are Accor’s addition of its South Korea portfolio.

The lifestyle category of Accor’s portfolio brings in 5% of the group’s annual revenue and represents 25% of total hotels. In this category there would be some interesting additions with properties like Mondrian
Shoreditch London; JO&JOE Vienna Westbahnhof; SO/ Sotogrande Resort & Spa; SLS Dubai and 25hours Dubai joining the group.

The line up in the luxury category includes Banyan Tree Doha in Qatar, Raffles in Udaipur (India) and Jeddah (Saudi Arabia), Fairmont Century Plaza in Los Angeles (USA), Fairmont Windsor in England, Fairmont Ramla Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), Fairmont Ambassador Seoul, Fairmont Tagazhout Bay in Morocco and the Fairmont managed Carton House in Dublin. Seoul, Hangzhou, and Adelaide would see the French brand Sofitel inaugurating many hotels.

The new properties would adhere to the Accor brand’s ALLSAFE hygiene label. The label was introduced during the pandemic and is vetted by Bureau Veritas, a company that deals with testing, inspection and certification.
