From 15th January to 22nd February, the five designated course area on Waitematā Harbour and Hauraki Gulf in Auckland would host the gala regatta— Prada Cup Challenger Selection Series. The winning team would be contesting the Emirates Team New Zealand in the 36th America’s Cup Match in March. America’s Cup Match is an annual yacht race where the winning team of previous year is called the ‘defender’. They set the terms and conditions of current year’s race.
